Video Diary

It has been difficult for me to keep posting so I started a video diary on Videofyme. It is an app for iPhone, very easy to use. You can select between 13 filters and combine video clips to create a story using their editing tools. After you're done editing you can share your video on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube and even your blog with only one click. You can also follow, like and connect with video creators world wide. Best part is that it's free!

Anyways, here's one of the videos I have uploaded.  I am still trying it out so don't expect too much lol
Let me know what you guys think about this app, what would you like to see on the videos, etc.

About Sample Subscription Boxes

Hello everybody! I haven’t posted anything related to beauty sample subscription boxes for a while and there is definitely a reason for that other than the fact that I haven’t got the time to do so. I used to be subscribed to Glossybox, Beauty Army and Julep Maven. It sounds like a lot but I was really happy with all of them, so trust me, it used to be worth it.

I decided to unsubscribe from Glossybox mostly because their customer service sucks. I mean, really, they are terrible. I did not get a box for a couple of months because somehow I never seemed to get charged for it, at first I thought there might of being a problem with my credit card or my billing information but I ended up realizing that Glossybox’s system is a mess. Plus I wasn’t too excited about the Man Repeller box, I have nothing against Leandra Medine, I am just not the biggest fan of collaborations because they usually suck, I learned that from Birchbox actually. For instance, I wanted the Tarte lipstick but I knew that not everyone was going to get it, so I decided that I would much rather get it myself than order a box that probably won’t contain what I am expecting.

So, I also unsubscribed from Beauty Army. Here is the thing, I really liked the fact that I was able to choose my samples. It sounds like a sweet deal but it’s not really like that in the end. Once their samples are released the system usually goes down. I used to try over and over again to log in and it wouldn’t work, finally a few hours later when I was able to enter the choosing box all the good stuff will be already gone. And I was left with a bunch of stuff that not only I didn’t wanted to try but also had already. It was awful and frustrating.

Anyways, I am sticking to Julep. They are very efficient, the quality of their products is amazing, they always try to bring something fresh to the table, their service is great and their boxes actually ship when they are supposed to.

What are your thoughts on beauty subscription services? Is there a decent one that I do not know about?

If you guys liked the band I posted before then check out this video from their last concert. I hope you enjoy!

If music be the food of love, play on

Hey everyone! This post is dedicated to my boyfriend. It is not about me proving my love to him or anything like that. I wanna share with you guys one of the music projects he has been involved with. Over the years we have shared a lot of things but mostly music. It is a passion that, in my opinion, everyone can relate to. I think quoting Billy Joel is necessary in order for me to express what I mean, "I think music in itself is healing. It's an explosive expression of humanity. It's something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music".

I took this picture with my phone so I am very sorry for the poor quality.
Also, I am not trying to advertise Red Bull.

This thursday my boyfriend will be playing with this band called Woodser for the last time. I am actually listening to them as I write this post and memories just come back to me about all of the times I went to their concerts. I wish they would of become famous anywhere else other than in Guatemala, for they are really inspiring musicians and set the bar higher for upcoming guatemalan bands. See, every time I listened to a new local band I could never experience a sense of surprise. They all sounded like the same to me but Woodser was really something I had not expected. Their lyrics are catchy without them being mellow, their melodic motion reminds you of The Beatles with a slightly pitch shifting that leaves you with a taste similar to The Smiths, it is just beautiful. I could keep on trying to explain to you how great they are but not only I am not writing a music review, but also I think it is best if you listen to them and that way you can decide.
  • You can listen to my favorite album by clicking here.
  • Here is their Facebook.
  • If you would like to listen to the rest of their albums you can do so on their Youtube account, you'll find some of their songs on SoundCloud as well, for free.
  • You can also purchase their songs on Itunes

I hope you enjoy!

Let me know what you guys thought about it, also tell me if you would want me to keep recommending you music or any other subjects you might be interested in.

Raven in The Grave

Hello everyone! Here I am again, trying to get back into blogging.  This time I wanted to share with you guys a look and an album.  So I titled this look "Raven in The Grave", which is an album by The Raveonettes, a long time favorite of mine.  I hope you guys like it.  About the clothes, I am wearing a dress by Pull and Bear (again..) and T.U.K. Creepers that I got from Urban Outfitters not so long ago.

Make sure to check out the items I am selling on Big Cartel, you might as well find the dress I am wearing.
